Trouble logging in to electronic library resources

Answer

Having trouble logging in to view electronically held library resources? Here are some quick tips. For more detailed information and troubleshooting help, please see the Connecting to Resources Guide under Help on the library main page.

Your library login information is the same as you use to log in to AU Direct. Note that if you update your AUeID password, you will need to manually update any saved library login information on your browsers to match the new password you have chosen. Your library saved password will not automatically update.

Know your login info.
Carefully enter your AUeID (seven characters, include the zeros) and password. Do not use an autofill saved username and password.
  • Check your keyboard for CAPSLOCK or foreign characters.
  • Don't cut and paste; you may end up with spaces before or after your entries.

Log in to another AU resource like Gmail or Sakai. If your login fails everywhere, try a password reset: Manage your AUeID

Know your status.
Access to AU Library resources is for all active students, faculty, and staff.
  • We define an "active" student as someone who is enrolled in one or more courses for the current semester.

  • We define an "active" faculty or staff member as someone who is currently employed and being paid by Antioch University.

Are you too new (classes haven't started; teaching next semester), recently graduated or retired, or withdrawn or on leave? You may not have access.

Don't know if you're good to go? Submit a Help Desk ticket for Library Access Issues and we'd be glad to check.
