My We Deliver request is "Unfilled" -- what does that mean?

Answer

We Deliver has about a 97% fill rate, but that doesn't help when the requests you place come back unfilled.

Most of the time this happens with very new materials (brand new textbooks, popular novels and DVDs, pre-press articles, etc,.) and rare or archival items. Foreign and medical journals can also be problematic.

When you receive an "unfilled" notice, it means we've stopped trying to fill this particular request. If the item is vital and you have additional time to wait, We Deliver will keep asking -- just email and let us know you'd like us to keep looking.
